Like Iceland and Sweden, Norway's brand of Christianity is Lutheran and this is the tower of Oslo's Lutheran cathedral. Though there is space about the place, I found that the tower offered the best chance for a photo on the evening when this scene was captured. The church may be a stone's throw from Karl Johans Gate, but it is not directly situated on Oslo's principal street either. Next morning, I had designs on a quick sortie to take in the Royal Palace but getting from my hotel as far as the Domkirke appeared to take up all the time that I had so the enterprise had to be left for another time. Oslo needs more than an evening for its exploration, so I may return sometime.
