New site design launched
5th December 2006It’s lashing outside my window as I write this, the continuation of an unsettled spell of weather that has pervaded the last few weeks. While the sun has been out and about, blustery showers have been too and last weekends weather warning caused me to stay at home, though I might have enjoyed a reasonable outing on Saturday. My staying in gave me the chance to busy myself with the finalisation of a site redesign that has been ongoing for several months, suffering stops and starts along the way. Apart from being more modern (I hope) it also offers more opportunity for extension than its predecessor. I have also taken the opportunity to reorganise some of the content. For instance, the photo gallery site directory has been moved here along with my personal potted histories of my family and the Scottish parliament (see Articles in the sidebar). These were formerly part of the visitor information directories and the news directories are the only interlopers there now. A little tweaking remains but it is mostly done, apart from the inevitable evolution that happens to any living website.
