A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Onward to Dublin

Onward to Dublin

Dublin is not short of landmarks and here is a selection that I captured while passing thorough on my way home. The photos that you find here were made using a variety of cameras that echo my photographic progression: starting with a fixed lens compact, changing to using SLR's before going digital. Every move has brought its own advantages with zoom lenses being very handy for a city with somewhat confined spaces like Dublin has and digital photography takes away the worry of film getting fogged by airport X-ray machines. Hopefully, I have been improving my photography at the same time too and I even fancy recreating some of those earlier photos to see if I can improve on them. Such motivations could send me to different parts of a city that I only really got to know after moving from Éire to the U.K.
