A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

First to Cork

First to Cork

Cork was where I gained my first university qualification so I got to spend a few years toing and froing from the city, living there during term time and with my parents during the holidays. It was also the place where I acquired my first camera, a Ricoh 35mm compact. In fact, all of the images in this album were taken with that very camera. Some were capture in my last year of university there and more while on a subsequent visit, when I was living in Edinburgh as it happened. It's been quite a while since I have been in the city so going to see it again could be a very good idea, perhaps for more photos now that we are in the digital photography age.
