A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Beyond Grassington, Wharfedale starts to become more and more wild in feel. The Dales Way leaps away from the banks of the Wharfe to take take to the heights above Conistone before it drops back down to Kettlewell. Grassington is honeypot for visitors and a good base for exploring round about it too but it is striking how things quieten down after that. What you see above is its rusticated Georgian village centre on a good summer day attracting humanity into the place. There is a Yorkshire National Park visitor centre if you are in need of a few ideas or even somewhere to stay.
