A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Cupid and Psyche, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England

This is a closer view of Cupid and Psyche than in the previous photo. The glass pavilion was used originally for the display of Harrogate's entry to the 1990 Gateshead Garden Festival. The statue itself was carved by Giavanni Benzoni for the Spa Rooms Gardens around 1870. However, these gardens were removed in 1958 and the statue placed in storage and forgotten until a chance discovery 30 years later!
