One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Crescent Gardens, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England

Moving from Valley Gardens to the environs of the Royal Baths, we reach the Crescent Gardens. In the middle of the photo is the glass structure housing the statue of Cupid and Psyche, originally located in the former Spa Rooms Gardens until 1958. This area is more of a square than a true garden but it offers a peaceful space due to the way that traffic is being managed around here.
