The Minster isn't the only thing of architectural interest around the Dean's Garden. Immediately to the right of the building in the photo is the Treasurer's House, built in 1419 for the Minster's treasurer and owned by many others since. Another building of note is the Minster Library, an Archbishop's private chapel in the thirteenth century. It may be hard to believe these days but it was only one part of the Archbishop's Palace that formerly covered this site. Nowadays, it houses the largest cathedral library in England.
