A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Twistleton Scars and Whernside, Ingleton, North Yorkshire, England

Those that associate Yorkshire's dales with chocolate box box imagery would do well to take in its wilder parts and Ingleton has plenty of the pleasingly rough stuff on its doorstep. This vista, seen from Fell Lane as it dropped into Ingleton, offers ample proof with the Twistleton Scars on the side of Scales Moor being lit wonderfully by the fading winter sun. It's all dramatic and distinctive limestone country and a snow-topped Whernside broods in shadow to complement the lot.
