A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

High Field Lathe, Grassington, North Yorkshire, England

Leaving the Dales Way, passing through Hebden and crossing the B6265 Grassington-Pateley Bridge road brings you onto the path from which this view was captured. The Yorkshire Dales are full of field barns like the one you see above. They were used to store hay for the winter feeding of farm livestock over the winters. Nowadays, some are falling into disrepair and others have been converted to other uses. Hills like Burnsall and Thorpe Fell and Barden Fell provide the backdrop.
