A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

If you need some convincing as to why there is so much access land about Kettlewell, then topography like this should provide it. The photo captures how the top of the valley cut out by Dowber Gill Beck looks of a glorious summer evening. The valley's lower reaches are themselves a fantastic sight, with interlocking spurs no doubt left over from the last ice age. There was a time when I considered that my efforts to capture it on film left something to be desired but I am inclined to change my mind and might have a go at some processing to see if I share some of that drama on here. Saying that, I think that making some time to return may be in order.
