A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

A trip to Settle should convince you that classic limestone hill country abounds around there too. My first passage by Attermire Scar was on a walk from Settle to Malham in summer rain and I vowed to return. In fact, it was a winter hike in the other direction that afforded me the chance to make more of the crags. The fading February sunshine that provided the lighting helped a lot too. In fact, the whole day was of the crisp frosty variety that pays dividends if you just wrap up for the conditions and get out there. Many of those have come my way and all have been memorable for the right reasons.
