Shutlingsloe as seen from near Danebridge, Staffordshire, England

You cannot wander along the Dane Valley near Gradbach or Danebridge without a sighting of Cheshire's county top (Shutlingsloe) unless you are travelling along the valley bottom enclosed by trees. This scene was captured on the appproach to Danebridge on a walk from Leek to Macclesfield on the Sunday of a May bank holiday weekend. The walk itself may not have been my first choice for the day the way that the evening turned out more than made up for that, something that should be plain from the photo that you see here.
