A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Elsewhere in this Peak District album, I have shared with you a view of the Doctor's Gate footpath in farmland near Glossop. In contrast, this is how wild things become, the further east that you go. In many ways, this is typical Dark Peak moorland and path climbs up from here to cross the Pennine Way on gradients that give those leg muscles a good workout. Apparently, the antiquity dates before its use by a sixteenth century doctor to Roman times so it's a former thoroughfare that hosts more recreational traffic while the A57 does good business between Glossop and Sheffield with part of its course too being Roman in origins.
