A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Langdale Fells from Little Tongue, Grasmere, Cumbria, England

It doesn't look it in the photo but the steepness of the incline remains in my memory, especially because of the growing heat of the day. There was no point in rushing and sweating loads so it was a matter of ascending the thing at my own pace until things got more level. The height gain may not be obvious but there are certain giveaways like being able to see the high hills around Great Langdale and how hard it is to discern the location of Grasmere in the landscape. A lot more height was yet to be gained before reaching Grisedale Tarn and then Fairfield before dropping down to Patterdale by way of Hart Crag and Hartsop over How.
