A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Fleetwith Pike, Buttermere, Cumbria, England

This is a part of Cumbria that I need to revisit to see if I can come away with better photos because the ever clouding skies conspired against me on the day. Another reason to return would be to explore quality hills like Grasmoor, Hay Stacks (now home to the ashes of a certain Alfred Wainwright), High Stile and Fleetwith Pike, freely standing at the other end of Buttermere in the photo. To the left of the last on the list is the way up to Honister Pass, where I went as part of a walk back to Keswick where I spent the (Saturday) night. Though I need to ensure that buses are running (services 77 & 77A, April-October), that return is long overdue and a longer weekend spent around here might be in order.
