A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Place Fell, Patterdale, Cumbria, England

Since taking this photo, I have walked to the top of Place Fell on a circular yomp from Patterdale that offered views over Ullswater that are lacking above. When I was descending from Hartsop above How with Deepdale and the ridge leading down from St. Sunday Crag to my right, thoughts of ascending any other fells would have the furthest from my mind. What was uppermost in my head at this stage in the day was making the bus that took me to a train station to get home. That wasn't to say that I wasn't taking time to admire the surrounding views in quiet spot after crossing a busy Fairfield. The light may been subject to heat haze but it has its own pleasure all the same.
