A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Stepping away from the Macclesfield for a while brings us to yet another local landmark and one that I can see from my own house, pylons and chimneys permitting. Being located atop a hill and painted white does help being noticed from afar. However, that's never to say that pranksters and vandals haven't left their traces. The activities of the former had the thing painted pink and the locals utterly unamused but all traces of that one have been obliterated. There was a time when you could go into the structure, a feature that supports its being a garden house built by a local wealthy family. Sadly, the attentions of the unappreciative mean that opportunity for shelter has been taken from us.
