Black Lake, Lindow Common, Wilmslow, Cheshire, England

Having somewhere nearby for a short lunchtime stroll is always a good and the importance of a brisk walk for stress reduction cannot be downplayed. A recent change of job has me working in Wilmslow and that has had me exploring the delights of Lindow Common a little. Most of these attentions have centred around Black Lake, a haven for voles it seems. There's more to the amenity than the lake but those other paths have been left for other times so far. Is it because I don't want to get too much mud on my working clothes? That well may be but that's an excuse to come of a non-working day to savour more of what's on offer.
