A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Caha Mountains, Adrigole, Co. Cork, Éire

This is a view of the Caha Mountains, part of the backbone of the Beara Peninsula, from the coast between Adrigole and Glengarriff. Even though all appearances suggest the contrary, a rocky shoreline was not at all far from where I was standing when I took this. The mountains themselves are not particularly high, topping out at under 600 m (or 2000 feet) but they stretch from Glengarriff to Adrigole where a range called the Slieve Miskish start and continue almost to the tip of the peninsula. Figuring out where one range stops and the other starts, though, is easier said than done since they run into one another.
