A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Dinas Island, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Dinas Island, Newport, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Continuing on our northbound way, we reach Newport near Cardigan (not the one of Wales' south coast). On my way home, I spent a little time there because of my hearing of the Preseli Hills. The main bulk of these are some miles south but the hill country does extend to Newport. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is also not far away as it circumnavigates Newport Sands. Above, however, is the view east with the promontory Dinas Island providing the focal point. South east of here lies Fishguard with its ferry terminal and the old part of the town seems a pleasant affair with narrow, often steep, streets never designed with modern motorised transport in mind.
