A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Y Garn, Llanberis, Gwynedd, Wales

Y Garn is the first 3000+ foot (over 914.4 metre) high mountain whose top I reached. In fact, I seems to be Wales where I have made a start at standing on summits for a change. After coming up from the Ogwen Valley by the footpath that passes the Devil's Kitchen (Twll Du in Welsh), I saw that this was within reach and walked up to the summit before heading down to Llanberis. On the way up, I used the left hand path that can be seen in the photo; my head for heights is not what it might be and I already had overcome one test that day. The way down to Llanberis was on more friendly slopes of an evening that became more and more wonderful as it wore on. The gradients were noticeable but never frightening.
