A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Appearances can be deceptive and you might think that the path dropped downhill in a relatively orderly manner. The truth is that the footpath that drops you from here into Cwm Idwal is anything but orderly. With patience, trembling limbs can be tamed to get you down but I had the advantage of using it for an uphill course on a previous visit. All the while, Pen yr Ole Wen looms ahead of you views over Llyn Idwal and the Ogwen Valley opening out before you. Thankfully, I was rewarded on the July day when I passed the way with a wonderful evening though clouds obstructed the sun to produce a mixture of light and dark patches across the landscape.
