If you need an excuse for stopping on the way down into Cwm Idwal, then this photo should demonstrate that there plenty of excuses for doing that. Just make sure that you don't get in anyone's way if you do and any tremors in your limbs should have a chance to dissipate. While it would be better not to have so much cloud shadows about, I did have this view over Llyn Idwal towards Pen Yr Ole Wen in use as desktop wallpaper for a good while. Was it the pleasant warm greens that did it for me? Well, the scene certainly looks dramatic and there is a blue sliver of Llyn Ogwen to be found in there too.
