A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Pen Yr Helgi Du & the Carneddau, Ogwen Valley, Capel Curig, Conwy, Wales

This is what will be to your right if you ever walk from Capel Curig to Llyn Ogwen and it's a more rounded aspect to Eryri that you find too. Trying to figure which is which from the above vista is less than straightforward. Candidates include Y Braich as well as Pen Yr Helgi Du but hulks like Carnedd Llewelyn and Carnedd Dafydd aren't that far removed from here either. Though it may not look it from this epitome of Welsh wildness, the A5 is hidden out of sight as are any homesteads that dot the lower slopes. Interestingly, not much of the passing traffic could be heard from this vantage point. Designers of the West Highland Way would do well to experience the peace around here and compare it with what they have done to folk with the section north of Tyndrum.
