A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Sugar Loaf from Abergavenny Castle, Monmouthshire, Wales

Another view from the near castle gates but this time facing west. The Sugar Loaf is in the background with Victorian town hall dominating the right of the picture. Abergavenny is a mixture of old and new as regards architecture. A walk though its town centre is well recommended. While it still retains its rural feel, it is nowadays also a base for commuters to and from south Wales, a fact no doubt helped by regular services between Manchester and Cardiff calling at its rail station.
