A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Now we get a closer view of the Sugar Loaf, and in a more natural setting too. Emphasising that it can be a base for walkers, this vista was captured just a few miles outside Abergavenny. The Sugar Loaf is one of the foothills of the Black Mountains dominating this area of the Brecon Beacons National Park. As mountains go, it is not that high at 1955 feet or 592 m, and its rounded profile allowed me the confidence to climb to its top. Incidentally, the more observant among you might have noted a path up its flank above.
