A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

The beauty of Britain and Ireland is that turning you camera another way allows a totally different picture to be made and so it is here; the previous picture of the Sugar Loaf was taken from nearly the same place. What you see here is a view of the town of Crickhowell and the hills behind it. Crickhowell takes its name from the nearby hill of Crug Hywel, otherwise known as Table Mountain. It's nickname should allow you find it above, beside the bulk of Pen Cerrig-calch, and explain how it came to be the site for an iron age fort.
