A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Queen's Park Bridge, Chester, Cheshire, England

At the bottom of the road that passes St. John's Church and Grosvenor Gardens on its way to the shore of the River Dee, you will find Queen's Park Bridge, an iron suspension footbridge across the said river. The current bridge dates from 1923 and is an all steel affair that allows circular walks along the banks of the Dee as well as extensive views up and down the river. Thankfully, the practice of diving into the river by young folk seems to have been eradicated unless I have been visiting at the wrong times for it. Jumping into a river with pleasure craft around doesn't sound too safe at all.
