A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Pott Shrigley, Cheshire, England

Pott Shrigley, Cheshire, England

It came to me as a surprise that Pott Shrigley is contained within the Peak District National Park. In fact, it is just within the borders of the said park. It is not a large village, though a very pretty one. The church, whose tower tries to belie the size of its nave, dates from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Even though this picture was taken on a cool January day, a visit in May or June seems worthwhile with that rhododendron in the foreground. The abundance of trees might cause an autumnal visit too when the leaves change to their glorious autumn best. The to do list has acquired an extra item or two.
