A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Dumgoyne, Kilearn, Stirling District, Scotland

As promised earlier, here is that closer view of the Campsie Fells. After the taste of open country ambling, it's onto a disused railway in Strath Blane and what you see here is the sort of eastern panorama that should keep you entertained as you pass through more urbane surroundings. The distinctive volcanic plug of Dumgoyne is unmissable. The hump that you can see behind it is its fellow hill of Dumfoyn. Beneath all of this is the Glengoyne Distillery on the wide flat floor of the valley; you often need a focal point to set off the views and I suppose that some might be tempted by the idea of paying the distillery a visit too.
