A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

River Arkaig, Achnacarry, Lochaber, Scotland

River Arkaig, Achnacarry, Lochaber, Scotland

The River Arkaig is a very fast flowing affair that feeds Loch Lochy near Achnacarry; that it is the outlet from Loch Arkaig should not surprise you. Achnacarry itself is little more and a grouping of houses though the Clan Cameron museum offers something to non-walking tourist. The main event around here, however, is either fishing or walking and the views encourage both (I can't speak for the fish, though). Across Loch Lochy, Ben Nevis are others are resplendent in demanding your attention. If walking, watch out for pesky terriers though; I encountered one and was glad that he got the trousers and not the leg. The trousers survived without a rip; it seems to be a tough offering from The North Face based on this evidence.
