A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Hill identification is an ever present problem when looking at photos many moons after a walk and so it is with this one. For instance, there was a time where I though that those sunlight hills in the background (look left) were part of the Mamores but I have since come to discount that proposal to plump for the more distant Grey Corries instead. Even the hilly mass filling up most of the photo has cause some contention in my mind before I came to identifying it as Meall na Cruaidhe and Glas Bheinn. I really need to revisit the part of the WHW between Glen Coe and Kinlochleven, not least because there is some very fine hill country hereabouts but also to sort conundra like those that I have already related. Also, sunlight was a very patchy commodity on the day of my hike so I'd like to see the area when sunshine isn't so restricted.
