A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Mamores, Kinlochleven, Lochaber, Scotland

Mamores, Kinlochleven, Lochaber, Scotland

The Mamores dominate the landscape between Kinlochleven and Fort William and offer many opportunities for hillwalking. This a more extensive view of them than we have seen previously. In the photo, this southern view of this lofty heights extends from Am Bodach in the west to Sgurr Eilde Mor in the east. Others that I can make out include Stob Coire a' Chairn, An Garbhanach, Na Gruaigaichean and Sgor Eilde Beag. It is a fair collection and there are more hills in the group than that. It is enough to make me plot a return to Kinlochleven for a few days to see more. And I might even avoid the cloudiness that limited opportunities for photography on the day in 2002 when I captured the above.
