A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Blackrock Cottage, Glen Coe, Argyll & Bute, Scotland

When many photographs go about making a photo Buachaille Etive Mor, Blackrock Cottage has a tendency to form the foreground interest; the cottage itself is owned by the Ladies Scottish Climbing Club and is bookable from them by their own members and those from other mountaineering groups. Others go down Glen Etive and use the River Etive for foreground interest. Given that it is such a photographed mountain, the limited number of viewpoints may seem surprising but that is the nature of the terrain around here. Still, there are different types of weather and changes in the seasons to play with. Some of these can make photography in these wildernesses a very serious undertaking, though.
