A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Ardtalnaig Glen, Ardtalnaig, Perthshire, Scotland

Going north east lands us on the northern shores of Loch Tay with this view of its southern side. In terms of terrain, there is a contrast between the sides of the loch: the northern side gets the Munros and the main road east from Killin while the other shore gets lower hills and a far hillier single track version with a smattering of passing places. There is a certain irony to that and it is something to consider if you ever circumnavigate the loch by bicycle like I have. Incidentally, the Rob Roy Way hugs the hills that we see here before allowing two route options, one longer than the other. The longer one heads through that glen you see heading into the hills and onto Amulree before the trail then heads north west to Aberfeldy. The shorter version takes a more direct route to Aberfeldy, saving a day of walking. As they say, the choice is yours.
