A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh, Scotland

This is another view from the 72 acre site of Scotland's National Botanic Garden. Access is free of charge and the place is only closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day in any year. The size of the place allows you to completely lose all sense of being in a city, especially at the garden's heart. It has been at this site in Inverleith on Edinburgh's northside since 1820 and is a beneficiary of the forward-thinking that led to the development of Edinburgh's New Town.
