A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Dean Village, Edinburgh, Scotland

Dean Village, Edinburgh, Scotland

The beady-eyed among you may have spotted these building at the right of the previous photo. Dean Village is a curiosity in that it is contained within a steep-sided valley with all traffic guided across it on Thomas Telford's Dean Bridge. The secluded nature of the place allows it to keep its village-like feel and maintains its desirability. Its foundations date from ancient times and early prosperity resulted from numerous mills deriving their power from the river.
