A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Tweed Green, Peebles, Borders, Scotland

Tweed Green, Peebles, Borders, Scotland

Peebles not only is a pleasant spot that had pretensions as a spa town in former times but it also is surrounded by plenty of hills as you'll see in other photos in this album. It remains a genteel place on the banks of the river Tweed, which you can glimpse through the trees in the photo. Somewhat amazingly, I never gave the place a visit when I lived in Edinburgh. My only explanation for this is that Scotland's capital city was too delightful to leave unless I was heading out for a trip to the Highlands. That now looks like a pity when I realise what Peebles has to offer and I redressed the oversight twice since leaving Edinburgh. However, looking again at these photos, I feel that the place needs another visit after not being there for a few years.
