A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Peat Law & Eildon Hills from the Three Brethern, Selkirk, Borders, Scotland

Peat Law & Eildon Hills from the Three Brethern, Selkirk, Borders, Scotland

This is the eastern view from near the Three Brethern, a trio of distinctive cairns to be found by the Souther Upland Way between Traquair and Galashiels or Melrose. Those shapely tops popping above the horizon at the left of the picture are none other than the illustrious Eildon Hills near Melrose, the destination for my walk from Selkirk on the day when this scene was captured. Hare Law is the roundy bump at the right along whose lower slopes the aforementioned national trail goes before descending into Yair Hill Forest. The Scottish Borders may be farming country but there are wilder parts to be discovered there too.
