A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Though I have had a go at doing so twice, I have yet to complete the Glensax horseshore and this was taken on a freestyle descent to the floor of the glen becase I needed to return to Edinburgh that evening. The photo captures a scene from sufficient height that all the hill don't look so high but the range is 500-700 metres. However, being observant enough to make out trees will gain you a sense of scale. The hills at the head of the glen are Dun Rig to the right and Stake Law to its left. It looks as if a whole day will be needed to complete the horseshoe and a cooler one would be ideal.
