A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

On the final approach to Kirk Yetholm, the Pennine Way shares its route with the more recently established St. Cuthbert's Way that goes from Melrose in the Scottish Borders to Lindisfarne in Northumberland, or vice veras if you so desire. Incidentally, it was when following the latter trail from Wooler to Kirk Yetholm that I capture the scene that you see here. Knees were grumbling and muscles were weary at this point just as they would be if I had been following the Pennine Way all the way from Byrness in Northumberland. Maybe I need to acclimatise my legs to such things more often.
