A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

River Lochy with Beinn a' Chleibh & Ben Lui, Dalmally, Argyll, Scotland

River Lochy with Beinn a' Chleibh & Ben Lui, Dalmally, Argyll, Scotland

We start our stroll though Argyll on its eastern fringes, not far from Dalmally. The two hills above, Beinn a' Chleibh & Ben Lui, sit near or astride the present day boundary between the council areas of Argyll & Bute and Stirling. Beyond them lies Tyndrum and, on the way to this point, the A85 comes through Glen Lochy. I crossed the river to reach that road after being confounded by a new forestry track when I should have passed Succoth Lodge to reach tarmac in a much more orderly fashion that I did with my use of Scotland's enlightened access legislation. However, if things had gone according to plan, I may well have missed this view and never got my chance to enjoy what you see here. Sometimes, serendipity reigns supreme.
