A Wanderer's Photo Gallery
One of the things that gets me exploring Britain and Ireland is the prospect of bringing away some pleasing photos of my own making with me. Not only has that fostered the growth of an interest in hillwalking and cycling but it also has driven me to further the photography itself. All that has created the library of images from which the collections that you find here have been drawn.

Beinn Toaig, Bridge of Orchy, Argyll & Bute, Scotland

Here is a closer look at those hills that we first glimpsed on the approach to Beinn Dorain. The small settlement that is Bridge of Orchy shelters in the wooded cleft ahead of Màm Carraigh and it is the last such one on the West Highland Way until you reach Kinlochleven. That almost guarantees wondrous open hill country with a feeling of wildness about it and the hills rising up in the background typify the sort of thing that you have for company. Beinn Toaig may do its best to hide other loftier heights from view but more astute observers may have notice that the summit of Stob a' Choire Odhar trumps it on the height stakes to make its appearance in the vista that we see here. Otherwise, it is flanked on the left by Stob Ghàbhar and a more distant Meall a' Bhùiridh on the right. There's plenty to explore, savour and enjoy around here alright.
