You seemed to have followed an old dead link or one that never existed in the first place. Never mind, just use the menu at the top to find what you were after in the first place. For those who are completely lost, there's the section introductions below and a full site directory too.

This website has come a long way since my first fumblings on the now defunct Geocities. That was the cause of my giving a scanner a go for the very first time and a photo entry ended up on that very first website. From that pleasing first photo, a gallery has grown with numerous albums dedicated to different parts of Britain and Ireland.
There is a mixture of urban and rural scenes here with explorations of countryside taking over from that of towns and cities in more recent times. There also are new places to photograph but previous efforts are subject to improvement too. Thus, albums should continue to change with additions and improvements and there could be new albums on the way too.
Before the blog existed, there was a news page listing recent trips as a teaser for future additions to the photo gallery. The blog then started out as an experiment to see if this concept could be taken further, only for it to then take on a life of its own.
What I hadn't realised at the outset was the appetite that hillwalkers for each others' tales of their own wanderings. That I started out early in outdoors blogging helped to generate more attention too. The result is that I picked up regular readers and their comments have shaped how the blog has developed since I started it. That encouragement keeps me sharing experiences and thoughts coming from exploring the British, Irish and Manx countryside.
In its early days, the blog was something of a catch-all for a variety of different articles but the interest in my explorations of countryside meant that some of them didn't belong there any more. Not only did I not want to lose these from the website but there was a visitor directory that I wished to turn into something more substantial as well.
What I have in mind is a little of something in the spirit of Countryfile, Scots and Cumbria magazines. It remains a work in progress but that gives me cause to continue with the endeavour. What you'll find here is a mixture visitor information and personal thoughts along with something photographic too. Variety is the essence here and it looks as if that's how it's going to stay too.
